Gn Resound (a Danish hearing aid manufacturer) is one of the big six hearing aid brands. They were the very first manufacturer to introduce Made For iPhone hearing aid technology. They have continued to develop the technology and are now on their third generation of MFI hearing aids.
Resound have just introduced the Linx 3D hearing aid platform and the early reports are outstanding. As part of the launch they have also introduced something called Resound Assist which will allow users of the LiNX 3D to get remote fine tuning services from their professional. So they won’t need to attend their clinic when they want assistance. We have had much success with GN Resound hearing aids over the years in our Dorset hearing aid centres, we look forward to trying out the new technology.
The Latest Made For iPhone Hearing Aid Platform
The Resound Linx 3D hearing aids are the top of the range, Made For iPhone hearing aid technology from GN Resound. They offer the pinnacle of Resound technology and will deliver outstanding results even in very complex sound situations. As is common with Resound, along with the launch of their major platforms they launch something new and innovative. In the case of the LiNX 3D it is a whole new way to experience hearing care. The original ReSound LiNX allowed users to adjust their own settings as they went, but with the new LiNX 3D, they can request assistance wherever they are directly from their mobile app, and their hearing professional can make all the adjustments necessary. Let’s take a high level view of the Resound LiNX 3D range.
The ReSound LiNX 3D includes GN Hearing’s 5th generation 2.4 GHz wireless technology and 3rd generation binaural directionality. They say it will provide users with “clear, natural sound, exceptional speech understanding and the best sense of where sounds are coming from.” There are eleven different hearing aid models in three levels of technology, the LiNX 3D 9, the LiNX 3D 7 and the LiNX 3D 5.

When connected to the brand new apps that have been designed for iPhone and Apple Watch, users will be able to access custom control features for the hearing aid. When compared to competitors, the company said that the ReSound LiNX 3D and companion app are up to 50 percent better at identifying speech across various environments, enable users to hear up to 80 percent more of the sounds around them, and enable users to understand up to 40 percent more speech in noise.

More than that though, like their higher level brother the LiNX 3D 9, we would expect them to deliver a completely new experience in hearing care to you if you want it. The new Resound Assist feature is available with the LiNX 3D 7 range.

The Resound LiNX 3D 5 hearing aids are the latest entry level Made For iPhone hearing aid technology from GN Resound. While they are an entry level device, they should still deliver some really good results even in complex sound situations. Enzo2 9 Hearing AIds
The Enzo’s Smart™ hearing technology takes all of the modern functionality you get from pairing the aid with your iPhone (or other compatible device) and combines it with a highest power output available. At time of writing the Enzo2 is the most powerful super power hearing aid on the market.
The Enzo2 9 is the flagship level device in ReSound’s superpower hearing aid range. Like the Linx2 9, it has 17 frequency channels for fine tuning within. It also uses their latest feedback prevention strategy DFS Ultra II to provide the highest amplification without the hearing aid whistling. The hearing aids are packed with advanced features to ensure the important speech sounds. They will attack background noises and wind noise. The device use a particularly clever system to ensure that they adjust themselves automatically to the environment you are in.
While the device is a high power hearing aid, Resound has ensured that the Enzo2 9 is one of the smallest super power aids available. Resound uses iSolate nanotech™ coating to protect the components in the aid from dust and wax and moisture.
Enzo2 7 Hearing Aids
The Enzo2 7 is the mid-level aid in the superpower hearing aid range. Resound have done something a little different with their mid range products, it has 17 frequency channels which is exactly the same as the top of the range devices. It also uses the same anti-feedback system to ensure that you get the amplification you need.
However, the device has a reduced feature set which means you will miss out on Autoscope Adaptive Directionality, Binaural Directionality and Binaural Environmental Optimizer II. They have also reduced the effect of the Noisetracker II and Windguard features aren’t quite as strong.
Enzo2 5 Hearing Aids
The Enzo2 5 is the entry level superpower hearing aid in ReSound’s latest range. Although it has a lower specification and 9 channels rather than 17, it still has the same high power output as the other models.
The aid has the same effective feedback prevention (DFS Ultra II) system, providing the highest highest amplification in the industry, without the hearing aid whistling. This hearing aid is ideally suited to those with severe to profound losses who do not spend much time in noisy or windy environments.
As with the other devices in the range it is a tough and durable aid and it has been specially coated to repel wax, moisture and dust.
